The Azure Flying Club is a non-profit organisation with the purpose to promote safe and affordable flying

Azure is a privately run club, formerly the Britannia Airways / Thomson Airways Flying Club. The purpose of the Club is to promote safe and affordable flying. We have two bases with a total of three PA28 aircraft. Cranfield covers membership north of London, and has two PA28s based. Wellesbourne Mountford has a single PA28 for members in the Midlands area.We have instructors at all bases who can cover everything from checkrides to training for the Private Pilots Licence, IMC Rating and the Night Rating. As a member, if you have a PPL already, or are keen to complete your PPL then why not get in touch? Contact details for your local base can be found using the links on the right of this site. Our fleet of PA28 aircraft are all immaculately maintained and well equipped with built-in Garmin GPS equipment. The maintenance is all managed by our own engineers who are also flyers, and maintained to EASA Part M and Part 145 standards.

Adding to the appeal of our unique premises, we are fortunate enough to have a conference room, which is fully equipped with a conference table (16 seats), white boards, flip-chart, TV/video and projection facility. Being situated on the first floor, this room offers panoramic views over the UK’s oldest working airfield. The room can also be utilised for briefing and entertaining larger groups whilst participating in an aviation corporate day. It is also available for ‘stand-alone’ corporate conferences.

So if you have ever thought about learning to fly or already have a PPL give us a call you won’t regret it.
